| Bluegill
Description: This panfish is abdundant in Lake Powell.
It feeds in the daylight on insects and aquatic vegetation.
It is the most colorful fish of the Lake with greenblue backs,
and orange sides, and "metallic" blue tips on its gills.
Sometimes called "bream" they can grow to weigh well over a
pound. They respond to most lures and fight valiantly when hooked.
Local angles believe that "where there are bluegills there are
