Spectacular mountains, scenic open spaces, and colorful red rock country make the Dixie National Forest around Duck Creek a snowmobiling paradise. Over two hundred miles of trail exist, winding through forested mountains and opening onto delightful meadows, impressive lava flows, and vast platieaus. Whether you enjoy groomed trails or untracked isolation, the snowmibiling opportunities in Kane County are unequaled.
Located within a four hour's drive of Las Vegas and Salt Lake City, Duck Creek offers a perfect basecamp for exploration. From this small hamlet in the pines, groomed trails lead to many exciting overlooks, including the geological splendor of Cedar Breaks National Monument--the result of millions of years of uplift and erosion. Deep inside its terraced bowl are stone pinnacles, columns, arches, and intricate canyons in varying shades or red, yellow, and purple feathering into a white and gray. The Monument is circled by beautiful aspen and evergreens, including the ancient bristlecone pine. Other highlights include extensive open "play area," and numerous, more adventurous ungroomed routes.
Trailheads
One will find easy access to all area snowmobile trails from Duck Creek Village. Three main trailheads also exist within a few miles of the Village and offer additional parking. (See Trailhead Map)
