THE K C AMATEUR RADIO CLUB
SAYS GOOD BYE TO
FELLOW "HAM"
FATHER TONY VOLLMER
WA6FXD

How do you say good-bye to a special friend? The "Hams" of the K C Amateur Radio Club did it with poetry. Father Tony came to his last Club meeting the night before his departure from his beloved Kanab. The following poem was written by Madeleine H. Wanlass, KC7SOL.

          A SPECIAL SIGNAL

Your life has touched so many lives,
     So many things you've done,
Soon - You move on, and leave us here,
The friends that you have won.

A Truthful soul, A soul of Grace,
A Helper of the Human race,
Your Spirit firm, - You shared with us,
With Tom and Jim, - With Jerry and Gus.

Then - In the quiet times of thought,
Into our minds - You will be brought,
And we will know - That now and then,
Our Signals cross, - and meet again.

Sometimes - We all must leave, When we want to,
Or when we have to, or when we are meant to.
Yet, we leave behind, a part of us - To be remembered.
