ICE SKATING
Weather permitting, and it usually does, there is a small ice skating pond
next to the navajo Lodge parking area near chair 6. No services are
availabe, so bring your own skates.
SNOW CAT SKIING
Once the snow level is sufficient, usually around mid july, the ski resort has
snow cats to the peak, penning up challenging additional terraine. It's like
helocopter skiing, only safer.
SLEDDING
There are numerous sledding locations around town for youngsters of all
ages. Check with landowners before trespassing.
CLIMBING
Southern Utah generally & the Brian Head area specifically have growing
reputations for rock climbing. Check with Brian Head Cross Country Bike
shop for information on nearby climbing areas or ask Georg at Georg's Ski
Shop and Bikes about his last climb up Mt Everest!
SIGHT-SEEING
There's limitless opportunities for sight-seeing in the area. Nearby Parowan
is the "Mother Town" for the settlement of southern Utah. Anasazi
Petroglyphs are also located nearby. Few sights anywhere surpass the
strikingly spectacular beauty of Cedar Breaks or nearby Bryce and Zion
National Parks. Check with any lodging establishment for more information.
