This is Tim Dwyer making a near perfect turn through a gate. Note that his skiis are past the gate while his body is about to come through the gate. This technique is how the coaches help the team improve on their times and technique.

This is where it begins! Each race starts with the skier standing at the starting gate ready to push to the best possible start.
